Dr. Sachin Kumar is a technically-adept academician and pharmaceutical scientist with focus on the development of sustained release, controlled release and novel targeted drug delivery systems with expertise in pharmaceutical research and good scientific writing skills. Dr. Sachin Kumar graduated from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow with a B. Pharm and Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu with M. Pharm in Industrial Pharmacy. He obtained his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (A State Government University), where his research focused on the development of various gastroretentive controlled release drug delivery systems. He has a comprehensive experience, of nearly 11 years, in various academic institutions and industry. Dr. Sachin Kumar has served as Academic staff at Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut and at Laureate Institute of Pharmacy, Jawalaji, Himachal Pradesh. Before handling academic activities, Dr. Sachin Kumar served at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited, Ahmedabad. He has supervised over 10 postgraduate students. His scholarly interests range widely from the development of gastroretentive drug delivery systems, buccal drug delivery systems, ocular drug delivery systems, vesicular drug delivery systems, microparticulate and nanoparticulate drug delivery systems, etc. Dr. Sachin Kumar has over forty five publications to his credit in various high impact international journals like Drug Delivery (Taylor & Francis), Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy (Taylor & Francis), AAPS PharmSciTech (Springer), Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Elsevier), Current drug delivery (Bentham), Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology (Bentham), Anti-Inflammatory & Anti-Allergy Agents in Medicinal Chemistry (Bentham), Current nanomedicines (Bentham) International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (Elsevier) etc to name a few. He has delivered invited lectures at various conferences. His name has been included in Marquis Who’s who in World® - 2017, recognizing his achievements in pharmaceutical research.
